FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to a rapidly disintegrating oral composition of Ketorolac and a method for treating pain with a fast-disintegrating composition. Rapidly decomposing composition contains an effective amount of ketorolac, a water-insoluble polymer, and sugar alcohol in an amount of from 20 % to 50 % by weight of the composition. Method for treating pain involves administering a fast-disintegrating composition to a patient, while the composition provides the plasma anesthetic substance concentration of about 370 ng/ml in less than 10 minutes.
EFFECT: implementation of the invention allows to obtain a composition that provides effective treatment of pain, rapid onset of action and a high rate of ketorolac at the initial time, with the minimum effective concentration.
