FIELD: cosmetology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a non-therapeutic cosmetic method for lightening and/or homogenizing mainly the color of the skin and/or lips. Said method includes applying to the skin or lips, in particular on the face and/or dark circles around the eyes, at least one layer of a cosmetic composition containing (I) at least non-interfering scattering white particles, characterized by a medium volume size (D50), varying from 0.3 mcm to 6 mcm, and having a refractive index (RI) between 1.7 and 2.2, in an amount of from 4 % to 8 % by weight, and (II) from 0 % to 2 % by weight of particles with a refractive index greater or equal, preferably strictly greater than 2.3. Also the composition and its application are disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows to achieve an immediate lightening effect when applied to the skin.
