FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and power electronics and can be used to control sources of reactive power in power systems. Thyristor-switched capacitor group is controlled by controlling the state of the thyristors at the moments of achieving a sinusoidal voltage on the controlled capacitor group of zero value, when a request is received to change the capacitance of the thyristor-switched capacitor group, the formation of the current capacitance value is stopped by removing the control pulses from the thyristors, carry out the recovery of energy stored in capacitors to the supply network by controlling the thyristors and then ensure the formation of the required capacitance value of the thyristor-switched capacitor group by switching the thyristors to a new state. Control device of the thyristor-switched capacitor group consists of a unit for measuring the sinusoidal voltage of the supply network, the synchronization unit, the thyristor control unit, the unit for setting the capacitance of the thyristor-switched capacitor group, a block for setting a set of included thyristors, a block for completing the formation of the current value of the capacitance of the thyristor-switched capacitor group, a block for determining the voltage polarity of the supply network, a block for controlling the regenerative discharge of capacitors.
EFFECT: technical result, to which the proposed technical solution is directed, is an increase in efficiency, a decrease in mass and size parameters and a cost of thyristor-switched capacitor groups.
