FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncostomatology and laboratory diagnostics, and can be used to predict the unfavorable course of tumors of the oral mucosa (OM). In the oral fluid, detect DNA of Epstein-Barr viruses (EBV), herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV), the presence of tumor tissue ulceration. Establish the work experience in the conditions of chemical production, harmful to the oral mucosa (hazardous employment). Calculate the value of y – the probability of an unfavorable course – according to the stated formula. Normalize this indicator in percents. If the value of y is 1–30 %, a low degree of risk of an unfavorable course of tumors of the OM is determined. When y is 31–70 % – the average degree of risk is determined. If the value of y is more than 70 %, there is a high degree of risk of an unfavorable course of tumors of the OM.
EFFECT: method allows to predict the unfavorable course of tumors of the OM through the assessment of a complex of the most significant risk factors.
