FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry. Method for the production of lead alpha-modified monoxide is proposed. Method involves mixing powdered lithium lead beta-modification with distilled water in the reactor. Water is heated to 80–85 °C and carry out periodic mixing for 10 hours. There is a recrystallization of the lead lead beta-modification of the lead into the lead-alpha modification. Then the distilled water is decanted, the precipitate of the lead monoxide alpha-modification is washed by decantation 2-3 times 2 n. ammonia solution, then the suspension of lead alpha-modification dehydrate. Carry out drying first at a temperature of 100 °C for 24 h, and then at a temperature of 150–200 °C. Result is a product containing at least 99.8 % PbO.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention consists in increasing the content of the basic substance PbO and improving the ecology of the environment.
