FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport machine building. In the method, the battery accommodation unit of a light-duty truck contains supports forming the vertical flanges and the front beam. Said front beam has internal sections proximal to the flanges and the corresponding external sections, and a battery shelf attached to the supports behind and inside the beam. Said flanges are displaced vertically, laterally and longitudinally relative to each other and are attached to the corresponding external portions. In the first embodiment, the engine compartment assembly for a light-duty truck contains the front pillar area, body side panel, a visor for protection against splashes from the wheels, a headlamp, a frame element and the aforementioned battery accommodation unit. In the second embodiment, the engine compartment assembly for a light-duty truck contains an aluminum front side panel of the body, aluminum supporting element of the radiator, aluminum frame element and the above-mentioned unit for accommodating the battery.
EFFECT: reduced deformation of the battery accommodation unit.
