FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: present method includes the advance grouping of converter stations; grouping principle is grouping the converter stations together which are connected by alternating current lines on the alternating current side under a normal operation condition and creating one group; priorities of the converter stations in each group are set beforehand for setting the relevant fixed values of the converter stations for island detection; setting principle is that the converter station with a higher priority has a smaller fixed value, and accordingly determines the island state first; converter station for which the island state is detected would go into the passive control mode only when all the other converter stations of higher priority than that of said converter station in the same group send enabling signals.
EFFECT: preventing simultaneous transition of multiple converter stations into passive control mode in island state.
