SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical equipment. When the HVDC-AC transmission system is operated, its transition to the state of connection to the power system is determined by detecting the occurrence of an overload condition on the three-phase alternating current on the valve side of the converter or current on the arm of the bridge of the converter and by detecting a change in the state of the voltage on the AC side. System switches from the isolated operation mode to the power connection control mode. At the moment of switching, the network control mode is smoothly switched by changing the power command and monitoring the running phase at the current voltage of the power grid in order to maintain a constant operation.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing an accurate and smooth switching of the adaptive DC transmission system from the isolated work state to the network operation state and is achieved through the use of the method of switching from passive partitioning to connecting to the power system for the HVDC-AC transmission system.
