FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Modular extractor device for removing bone cement from a bone cavity comprises an elongated body that has an axis of central symmetry, a proximal end, arranged, during use, at the opening of the bone cavity, and a distal end, arranged, during use, at the innermost part of the bone cavity. Said elongated body is at least partially internally hollow and is suitable for being inserted in said bone cavity filled with bone cement. Said elongated body comprises rigid elements coaxial to the axis of said elongated body. Rigid elements are at least partially hollow and constrained together or to one another. At least two adjacent and subsequent rigid elements comprise a first main section, a second main section and a protruding flange. At least said first main section defines an axial longitudinal port or opening, such that a main section of at least one rigid element of said at least two rigid elements is inserted and held in position inside a main section of the other rigid element of said at least two rigid elements. Device comprises a rod for extracting the elongated body. Body comprises a terminal element located at the distal edge of the elongated body. Extraction rod is adapted to be inserted, during use, along at least part of the elongated body and / or along the port or opening of the rigid elements and terminal elements. Rigid element and / or terminal element comprises a removable engagement means for releasably engaging with the extraction rod. Rigid element for the manufacture of said extraction device for removing bone cement from a bone cavity comprises an axis of central symmetry, a proximal end located, during use, in the opening of the bone cavity and a distal end located, during use, in the innermost part of the bone cavity. Rigid element is at least partially hollow. Rigid element comprises a first main section, a second main section and a protruding flange protruding laterally outward with respect to the axis of the rigid element. First main section defines a longitudinal axial port or hole having dimensions substantially equal to or slightly larger than the dimensions of the second main section.
EFFECT: inventions enable removal of bone cement in a practical, simple and very effective way for the operator performing the operation, and in conditions of maximum safety and calmness for the individual undergoing the operation.
