SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is a method for the differential diagnosis of types of inflammation of the respiratory tract in patients with bronchial asthma (BA) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), characterized in that they carry out a comprehensive mathematical assessment of the indicators according to the formula: y=0.0206×x1-0.0583×x2+0.0205×x3-0.0011×x4+0.582, where y – is the type of inflammation of the respiratory tract; x1 – is the content of eosinophils in induced sputum, %; x2 – is the number of neutrophils in the blood, 109/l; x3 – is the amount of eosinophilic cationic protein in the blood, ng/ml; x4 – is the amount of neutrophil elastase in the blood, ng/ml; with a value of y=0–0.4, the neutrophilic type of inflammation of the respiratory tract is diagnosed in patients with bronchial asthma and COPD, and with a value of y=0.6 and higher, the eosinophilic type of inflammation of the respiratory tract is diagnosed in patients with BA and COPD.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of differential diagnosis of types of inflammation of the respiratory tract in patients with bronchial asthma and COPD, which allows a personalized approach to the appointment of justified pathogenetic therapy.
