METHOD FOR REGISTRATION OF THE LINEAR BLOOD FLOW VELOCITY IN THE INTERNAL CAROTID ARTERY Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/26 A61B8/06

Abstract RU 2678685 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technology, in particular to a method for registering a linear blood flow velocity in the internal carotid artery. Transcutaneous Doppler sonography is performed by placing the Doppler sensor at the optimum angle to the carotid artery under study. Doppler sensor is mounted by means of clip on one of the two pivotally connected rods of removable guide device. With the help of another rod, the removable guide device is rigidly fixed, the bend of the removable guide device is formed by changing the angle between the rods, and the angle of the Doppler sensor to the internal carotid artery is chosen. After obtaining the optimal Doppler signal, the selected position of the rods is fixed with the help of the handwheel for the period of recording the linear blood flow velocity.

EFFECT: achieving with high accuracy the long-term continuous linear blood flow velocity monitoring, which is necessary for assessing the state of the cerebral blood circulation system under various influences, including for the control of linear blood flow velocity in the ipsilateral internal carotid artery during open intracranial neurosurgical operations.
