SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely neurosurgery, and can be used to assess the state of cerebral autoregulation (CA) in real time. Continuous recording of the linear velocity of blood flow in the middle cerebral arteries and systemic arterial pressure during spontaneous breathing is carried out. Based on the cross-spectral analysis of slow spontaneous oscillations of the linear velocity of blood flow and systemic arterial pressure in the Mayer wave range of 50-150 MHz, the average value of the harmonic components of the phase shift (PS) is calculated in real time with a threshold value of coherence of ≥0.6. With an average value of ≥0.8 radians, the condition of the CA is estimated as preserved.

EFFECT: method provides a non-invasive assessment of CA due to spectral analysis of slow spontaneous fluctuations in the linear velocity of blood flow and systemic arterial pressure.
