FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to urea-containing mercaptosilanes. Said urea-containing mercaptosilane of formula (I), where R1 has the same or different values chosen from C1-C10 alkoxy groups, R2 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group with C1-C20, and R has the same or different values selected from branched or unbranched saturated aliphatic divalent hydrocarbon groups with C1-C30. Also a method for the preparation of said urea-containing mercaptosilane is proposed.

EFFECT: proposed urea-containing mercaptosilane has improved processability, high molecular mesh density, improved wet grip and dynamic stiffness in rubber compounds.
