FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas and exploration industries, and is intended for the column head turndown and turnup. Device for turning the column heads includes a disk-shaped base mounted on the column head flange with a central hole and concentrically arranged holes, a socket fixed to the base, an element for transmitting torque to the base and a drive for rotating the base. Concentrically located holes of the base are made in the number of four and with a cylindrical wall. Base is connected to the flange of the column head with nuts and bolts or studs, passed through concentrically located holes in the base and flange holes. Socket is made in the form of a cylinder with a sample coaxially located square section. Cylinder of the socket is installed in the central hole of the base and fixed to the base by welding. Element for transmitting torque to the base, made in the form of a segment of a square tube with a cylindrical ring welded to its upper end, is mounted in a square sample of the cylinder with the possibility of axial movement, whose inner diameter is chosen greater than the diagonal of the inner square of the cross-section of a square tube segment. Outer diameter of this ring is chosen larger than the width of the outer wall of the square tube segment. On the upper wall of the cylindrical ring is installed coaxially with a piece of a square pipe and fixed by welding a piece of a cylindrical pipe. It has an external conical thread at the upper end, where the coupling for connecting the device to the elevator is wrapped with the corresponding thread. Drive for rotating the base is a suspended hydraulic tong used for screwing and unscrewing drill pipes and tubing pipes.

EFFECT: in the proposed device simplifies the design by reducing the number of parts and the use of a suspended hydraulic tong.
