FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus and method for delivering external heat energy to an air stream in an air treatment device in order to heat the air. Said air treatment device includes an air handling unit, which includes a heat recovery device, adapted to, in the heating mode, recover heat energy from the first air stream and transfer it to the second air stream, specified device for air treatment includes a heat pump adapted to, in the heating mode, regenerate heat energy from the first stream of air and transfer it to the second air stream, and wherein the heat pump includes an evaporator installed in the first air stream in the direction of the flow after the heat recovery device, and a condenser installed in the second air stream in the direction of the flow after the heat recovery device, air treating device includes an auxiliary heater for supplying external heat energy in addition to the recovered energy, while the auxiliary heater is located in the first stream of air in the direction of the flow after the heat recovery device and in front of the evaporator, the device also includes a control device that is adapted for soft control of the electric heater, wherein the heating power rises or falls almost continuously for balancing at a certain temperature T1 between the heat recovery device and the evaporator.
EFFECT: increased time of operation of the heat pump, minimized operating costs and improved overall efficiency of the installation.
