FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to the method for measuring intrapleural pressure in case of thoracocenthesis and drainage of the pleural cavity. Method comprises the use of the catheter or drainage of the pleural cavity, the vessel for collecting pathological contents from the pleural cavity, the pressure sensor, as well as the analog-to-digital converter attached to it and the electronic device for recording data. Single-lumen catheter or drainage is used, and it also additionally includes the use of the following elements: a tee for connecting to the line of the pressure sensor, the bacterial filter to protect the sensor, as well as the vertical stand and nozzles attached to it, to protect the sensor from ingress of pathological contents into it. Drainage or catheter installed in the pleural cavity is connected to the tee on one side. Branch pipe is connected to the tee on the second side, the branch pipe is connected to the vessel with the water lock for collecting exudate, which in turn can be connected to the vacuum source. From the third side the pipe is connected to the tee, the pipe is directed vertically upwards, mounted on the vertical stand and connected to one of the two unions of the bacterial filter. To the free union of the bacterial filter the nozzle is attached that is fixed on a vertical stand, forming a knee without bending and attached to the pressure sensor, which transmits a signal to an electronic device through an analog-digital converter, for the subsequent recording of data on changes in intrapleural pressure.

EFFECT: simplicity of the required construction and increased operational reliability.
