FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves infusing current-conducting liquid (physiological salt solution) under local anesthesia into one of pleural cavities (on the side the pathological process is localized) in the amount of 500 ml. Needle electrodes are implanted through the intercostal intervals and placed in parallel to each other at 5-10 cm distance between them. The intrapleural portions of the needles are completely immersed into the current-conducting liquid. Heating is carried out during 60-90 min, heating temperature is measured with invasive thermal gauge between the needle-electrodes. Heating is applied to 39-42 C. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 3 cl
