FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology and can be used for the production of the macrolide antibiotic rapamycin, a drug widely used in transplantation and therapy of tumour processes. Strain of Streptomyces hygroscopicus VKM Ac-2737D and a method for producing the antibiotic rapamycin is proposed, which involves the introduction of a strain of Streptomyces hygroscopicus VKM Ac-2737D into a nutrient medium containing soy flour, lysine, yeast extract, soy peptone, glucose, sodium chloride, magnesium sulphate, ammonium sulphate, 30 % oxygen and distilled water at specified ratios of components and its cultivation at a temperature of 29 ± 1 °C and pH medium of 6.8–7.0 for 216 ± 24 h. Glucose is introduced into the nutrient medium starting from the 72nd hour of biosynthesis.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows to increase the yield of rapamycin.
