FIELD: image processing means.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image data processing. Method of dynamic visualization of geographic information and heterogeneous information in a geographic information system includes the following steps: generating a multi-layer map containing geo-objects from various sources by the map service, wherein geo-objects being formed in data structures based on key connections and are interconnected through a common entity, selecting a geo-object visualization template with accompanying information objects, calculating the area of geo-objects and objects of accompanying information, taking into account their spatial dimensions, selecting the scale of the electronic atlas for display on the screen, by summing up the area of geo-objects and accompanying information, and checking by the visibility criteria.
EFFECT: increased speed of configuration and visualization of geo-objects from various sources due to automatic scaling and centering of the electronic atlas based on visibility criteria.
