FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to input video sequence encoding. Technical result is achieved by encoding the value of a second color component and the value of a third color component of the pixel in a first color space; receiving the value of the first color component in the second color space of the pixel, wherein the second color space is different from the first color space; determining the value of the first color component of the pixel in the first color space based on minimizing the error, calculated on the basis of the difference between the value of the first color component in the second color space and the trial value of the color component in the second color space, trial value of the color component is derived based on the encoded value of the second color component and the value of the encoded third color component; and encoding the value of the first color component of the pixel in the first color space.
EFFECT: technical result is the higher accuracy of encoding the color components of an image.
