FIELD: microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the microbiological industry, in particular to apparatus for growing microorganisms. Apparatus for growing microorganisms contains a housing with process nozzles in its side part for supplying methane, solutions of mineral salts and titrating agents, jet aerator, located vertically in the upper part of the body and connected to the recirculation system of the liquid phase. System includes a heat exchanger, a fluid flow booster and pipelines made with the possibility of draining the liquid phase from the lower part of the body and feeding it through a jet aerator to the upper part of the body, and a pipeline connecting the side of the case above the permissible level of the liquid phase in the case with the upper part of the case to ensure recirculation of the gas phase. Inside the case, in the lower part of it, there is a coaxially mounted bump formed of two external and internal truncated cones, where the diameter of the external truncated cone is larger than the diameter of the internal truncated cone. Outer truncated cone is directed downwards with a smaller base, and the inner truncated cone is directed with its smaller base upward, while the bump stop is connected by a pipeline to the vacuum chamber of the jet aerator.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the productivity of the apparatus by providing the possibility of improving its mass transfer characteristics.
