FIELD: microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the microbiological industry, in particular, to devices for growing microorganisms using natural gas. The apparatus for growing microorganisms is made in the form of a housing with an expanded upper part. Inside the housing, in its upper part, with a gap to the housing, the following parts are installed: vertical damping elements, process pipes for supplying solutions of mineral salts, process water and titrating agents, process pipes for supplying methane and air, a nozzle for removing the exhaust gas mixture, a nozzle for recirculating the gas mixture, a nozzle for draining liquid. Each damping element is made in the form of a flat plate along the entire body dimeter. Pressure ejectors with mixing chambers are installed in the lower part of the apparatus tangentially to the housing of the apparatus, which are connected to the liquid phase circulation system on the one hand, and to the gas phase recirculation system on the other. The gas phase recirculation system is designed with the possibility of removing the gas phase from the upper part of the housing and feeding it through a pipeline to the pressure ejector.
EFFECT: improving the quality of cultivation by evenly distributing the gas content along the height of the apparatus, uniform mass transfer throughout the working volume, eliminating possible stagnant zones at the bottom of the apparatus, with the possibility of installing circulation pumps of lower power while ensuring the same circulation of the liquid phase and reducing specific energy consumption for the production of finished products.
