FIELD: lifting devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lifts, elevators, elevator safety systems. Elevator safety system includes catchers (2), (10), rigidly mounted on corresponding sliding props (7), (9), which can move due to hinges (3), (11), springs (5), (13) mounted on the top of cabin (16) and interacting with props (7), (9), load (8), pressing with its mass on props (7), (9) and thus opposing the forces of springs (5), (13) during normal safe operation of the elevator, projections (4), (14), (15), (18), installed on the walls of elevator shaft (1), (12). In the case of a free fall of cabin (16), load (8) no longer creates the same weight (until the fall), therefore, it is lifted due to the forces of springs (5), (13), which push props (7), (9). In a free flight down the catchers catch on the protrusions nearest to them (for example, (4), (14)). Further, cabin (16) stops due to the fact that catchers (4), (14) are engaged with the corresponding protrusions. Thus, cabin (16) hangs in the space of the shaft (17).
EFFECT: invention provides improved reliability of the elevator safety system.
