FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering, in particular to technologies for treating, manipulating or facilitating the manipulation of fuel or other materials inside the reactor, and can be used to dismantle the graphite stack during the decommissioning of a uranium-graphite nuclear reactor. Method of dismantling the graphite stack of a nuclear reactor involves placing a remotely controlled manipulator and a container for radioactive waste in the reactor space between the graphite stack and metal structures. For the passage of the above-mentioned manipulator and container into the reactor space, at least one opening is made in the metal structures with their bearing capacity preserved. Extraction of elements of graphite masonry is carried out by the order of disassembly of graphite masonry and alternate individual capture by the manipulator of the element of graphite stack.
EFFECT: ensuring the minimization of dose loads on personnel producing work without increasing the number of primary and reducing secondary radioactive waste.
