FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely cardiology, cardiac surgery, functional diagnostics. To determine the shock volume of the heart, two electrodes are applied to the parts of the body and the resistance between the electrodes is recorded. Shock volume of the heart is determined from the characteristic of the resistance ratio of the recorded to the limiting one with the gauge function of the normalized volume from the resistance, which compensates for the unknown value of the limiting resistance, chosen arbitrarily. Values of the limiting resistance and the normalized volume are calibrated a priori on the standardized measures of resistance of the known patients of the upper and the lower limits of the range and the normalized volumes from the resistance with different calibrations for men and women. Actual values of the limiting resistance and the standardized volume are calibrated along the range boundaries according to the algorithms, along which the calibration function and the real function, identical with the equivalent function, are successively restored.
EFFECT: method increases the accuracy of determining the stroke volume of the heart on the adaptive range by applying normalized resistance measures.
