FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Method of obtaining functionalized alumina with a modified surface includes obtaining a composition, containing oxyhydroxide aluminum, aluminum oxide, aluminum hydroxide, or a mixture thereof. Organic modifier is added to this composition, containing the monomeric and oligomeric forms of the acrylic acid composition. Resulting composition is dried and a composition based on functionalized alumina with a modified surface is obtained, in which an organic modifier is covalently bound to an oxide of aluminum with a modified surface. Aluminum oxyhydroxide is boehmite or pseudoboehmite.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a functionalized alumina with a modified surface capable of uniformly dispersing in an organic polymer with the formation of a nanodispersion characterized by nanoscale particles of aluminum oxide single crystals.
