FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of abrasive machining and can be used in the manufacture of grinding, drilling and boring tools. Abrasive tool has a working part containing abrasive grains, hollow microspheres and a binder. Abrasive grains are covered with a layer of material not less than 1 micron thick, which is connected with a binder to form a diffusion layer. Melting point of the coating material of the abrasive grains is not lower than the melting point of the binder. Hollow microspheres are pre-coated with a layer of material not less than 1 micron thick and, together with abrasive grains, are evenly distributed in the working part of the abrasive tool and fixed by means of a binder.
EFFECT: as a result, the life of the abrasive tool is increased by improving the cooling conditions of the tool and reducing the need to spend more coolant.
