FIELD: waste processing and disposal.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of municipal and industrial waste, wood waste, namely, a device and method for plasma gasification of a carbon-containing material, as well as a unit for generating thermal/electrical energy in which the said device is used. Device comprises a reaction vessel having a body, lid and bottom part. Internal cavity of the reaction vessel contains sequentially located, starting from the side of the cover, the input area of the carbon-containing material, its drying and pyrolysis, the main zone of high-temperature oxidation, main zone of recovery of gaseous oxidation products from the main zone of high-temperature oxidation, zone of withdrawal of gaseous reaction products, additional recovery zone, additional zone of high-temperature oxidation, zone of withdrawal of molten solid reaction products, at least one opening for loading the carbon-containing material into the reaction vessel, located in the zone of input of the carbon-containing material, at least one plasma torch installed in the hole in the wall of the reaction vessel in the main high-temperature oxidation zone, at least one hole for entering the oxidant, located in the wall of the reaction vessel in the main high-temperature oxidation zone, at least one hole for the withdrawal of gaseous reaction products located in the wall of the reaction vessel in the area of the output of gaseous reaction products, means of ensuring pressure difference between high-temperature oxidation zones and gaseous reaction product outflow zone, installed at the outlet of the gaseous reaction product outflow zone and/or at the entrance to a high-temperature oxidation zone. In this case, the bottom part has a shape mating with the form of an additional recovery zone, and contains at least one opening for discharging molten residual solid reaction products and at least one plasma torch, installed in the hole at the bottom of the bottom of the reaction vessel in an additional oxidation zone in the immediate vicinity of a hole for discharging molten residual solid reaction products.
EFFECT: technical result is to ensure complete and environmentally friendly processing of the above mentioned waste and production of heat and electricity.
