SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a cutting element, a method of forming said element and a tool for drilling underground rocks. Cutting element includes a supporting substrate and a polycrystalline element attached to the end of the supporting substrate and having a first region adjacent to the end of the supporting substrate; another region at least substantially laterally circumscribing the first region and having lesser permeability than the first region; and an additional region adjacent to the top of the longitudinal borders of the first region and said another region and having a permeability different from that of the other region.
EFFECT: reduction of damage and defects in the cutting element.
