SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to polycrystalline diamond inserts, a drilling tool and a method of forming polycrystalline diamond. Polycrystalline diamond insert comprises a polycrystalline diamond material comprising a plurality of diamond grains bonded to each other by intergranular bonds, and intermetallic gamma-bar (γ') or κ-carbide phase located inside internodes between interconnected diamond grains. Intermetallic gamma-bar (γ') or κ-carbide phase contains metal of VIII group, aluminum and stabilizer. Intermetallic gamma-bar (γ') or κ-carbide phase is structurally ordered or disordered.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of intensity of failures and wear of cutting tools.
