FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: machine contains a group-forming unit that has a grouping socket to accommodate a group of smoking articles and a gasket, a group-forming conveyor, feeding the socket to the first station for inserting a gasket into it and to the second station for inserting a group of smoking articles into the socket, and a packaging unit receiving the group of smoking articles together with the gasket from the group-forming unit and wrapping a sheet of packaging material around the group of smoking articles and the gasket to form an inner package. Also, the invention is a method for manufacturing a pack of smoking articles.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides simplification and quality improvement.
