FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular, to methods for producing multilayer products, and can be applied in the extractive industries, metallurgy, and the building materials industry. Multilayer wear-resistant plate is made by mixing the reaction mixture obtained by mixing thermo-reactive components in the form of powders of transition metals in a mixture with carbon, or nitrogen, or boron, or silicon-containing compounds and metal matrix components. Reaction mixture is placed in a metal sheath, the preform is molded before its edges are deformed into a preform in the form of a plate. Preform is heated to a temperature of at least the temperature at which the autoignition begins to ignite the reaction mixture to undergo the reaction of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis. Heating is performed at a rate of not more than 60 °C/min. Preform is deformed to obtain a multi-layer wear plate.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the strength of the multilayer product.
