SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of processing geospatial information and can be used to create three-dimensional digital models of objects and territories. Result is achieved in that in a known block diagram of the formation of a three-dimensional geo-information system, including a database management unit, database reconciliation block, providing referential integrity between the database of two-dimensional electronic maps and the database of three-dimensional objects, block of three-dimensional constructions, two-dimensional snapshot of the terrain is added, along with a two-dimensional vectorization block, a digital terrain model (DTM), a block of geographic transformations, highlighting the coordinates of the vertices of a two-dimensional polygonal vector object from the DTM a fragment of a regular height matrix, the corresponding object, a database of two-dimensional electronic maps and a database of three-dimensional objects.
EFFECT: reducing time costs and improving the accuracy of building three-dimensional vector maps of the area.
