FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: cellulose free absorbing cores and methods for their manufacture are described. Method of forming a cellulose free absorbent core can include moving of a perforated forming surface having open and closed parts in the machine direction, moreover, the open parts define the absorbing core area. Method can also include applying of particulate material at a speed below 1,200 meters per minute to the absorbing core area using a vacuum. Absorbing core area can include: a front core area extending to the first half of the absorbing core area, and a rear core area extending to the second half, moreover, the front core area follows the rear core area in the machine direction, while the close parts of the perforated forming surface block the passage of air flow through the forming surface, which leads to the fact that more than 60 % of the particulate material applied to the absorbing core area is located in the front core area.
EFFECT: absorbing cores and methods for their formation are proposed.
