SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for monitoring the wear of working equipment of machines intended for grinding or breaking materials. In particular, a method is proposed for controlling an autonomous system for monitoring and diagnosing the wear of the grinding elements of a digging machine, including measurement of the degree of wear of the grinding elements of the drum of the earthmoving machine; transmission of a wireless signal of wear to a remote operator; and displaying the degree of wear of the chopping elements on the on-screen monitor, wherein the on-screen monitor is adapted to display continuous scrolling of the chopping elements; the angular position of the grinding elements relative to the control point is displayed; specified control point is the replacement position.

EFFECT: technical result is to ensure operational control over the wear of the working body of the machine and the identification of the time of its replacement.
