FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vortex flowmeters for measuring liquids and gases flow rates. Sensing element of the vortex flowmeter includes an airproof evacuated body, a round elastic membrane with a thickened peripheral part, a flat blade attached to opposite sides of the membrane and a counterweight lever made in the form of bimetallic plate, the plane of which is rotated 90° with respect to the blade plane, a reflective element attached to the end of the lever in the form of a cube with three mirror mutually perpendicular faces a, b, and c, three binary fiber-optic bundles, sections of which are located near the mirror faces of the cube and fairing. Sensing element provides simultaneous measurement of the flow rate, absolute pressure and temperature using fiber-optic transducers of movements formed by the binders and reflective faces of the cube. To measure flow velocity, oscillations of the blade under the influence of vortices are used, causing alternating movements of the face a. To measure the absolute pressure, displacement under the influence of pressure of the membrane central part is used, accompanied by movement of the face b. To measure the temperature, a bimetallic weight lever is used, accompanied by the movement in the face c. Fairing placed in front of the blade protects the blade from the direct impact of incident flow, which introduces additional error in the temperature measurement.
EFFECT: use of similar fiber-optic displacement sensors to measure the speed, pressure and temperature of the medium allows to simplify the design and maintenance of the vortex flow meter, to ensure the immunity of the sensitive element to electromagnetic fields and interference, resistance to adverse climatic conditions, high resolution.
