SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture and can be used in the selection of flax for resistance to flax suppression. Method comprises the toxin production in laboratory conditions and its subsequent uniform distribution over the soil surface of the experimental plot. For the production of toxin, the seeds of healthy flax plants are soaked with water, left to ferment at room temperature until the end of the gas evolution from the resulting hydrolyzate, which is fermented aqueous suspension of the acidified flax seeds. Uniform distribution of the resulting toxin over the soil surface of the test plot is carried out by irrigating it with the hydrolyzate obtained to the depth of seeding.

EFFECT: method provides the simplicity and efficiency of the assessment of the stability of flax for flax sickness.
