SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer equipment. Method of displaying elevations in an image corresponding to a study area is characterized by the fact, that the study area is part of a mining development; moreover, the image displays the relief of the elevations and part of the elevations of the color scale, which is determined by the spectrum of tones for the height range; while determining a first data set, including the values of the elevations corresponding to the registered and reference data, for each value is set, a color to display the elevation value on the color scale is determined; and a first image representing the 3D relief elevation mapping is created; model data is generated based on a set of data defining a 3D model for displaying on the first image a 3D view of the model representing the deviation between the elevation map and reference relief, displaying the elevation map, superimposed on the reference relief, while changing colors corresponding to the reference relief, while the elevation map is visible through the reference relief of elevations.
EFFECT: technical result is providing improved visualization of elevations of a mining development relief.
