SUBSTANCE: invention relates to security monitoring methods and can be used in cases where a single passive optical electronic detection device is used for signaling control of the intersection of three roads. Method consists in controlling the intersection of three roads with one (DD) with a double-beam detection zone; determining the intersection of the violator by the near section by the asymmetry coefficient of the increase and decrease of impulses of the useful signal, no more than two, the violator’s crossing of the distant section according to the asymmetry coefficient of the increase and decrease of impulses of the useful signal more than four, the sides of the movement of the violator relative to the axis along the sequence of receipt of bipolar pulses of the useful signal from the pyro-receiver; establishing the maximum value of the waiting time of the alarm based on the minimum possible speed of the violator and the distance traveled between the intersection with the road.

EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining the possibility of separately determining all six directions of movement of the violator through the intersection of three roads using one detection tool.
