FIELD: surveillance systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to security monitoring methods and can be used in cases, where one passive optoelectronic detection facility (CO) is applied for signaling control of the bend of the road. Method consists in controlling the bending of the road by means of one CO deployed in such a way that its detection zone crosses the road in two sections on both sides of the bend point of the road, the neighboring area to the CO was located at the distance of 10 to 15 meters from the facility, the distance to the CO site was at the distance from CO, which is equal to 60–80 percent of the maximum length of the detection zone; the CO transition to the alarm mode twice during the intruder's movement through the bend of the road; setting the maximum value of the accumulation time of alarms based on the minimum possible speed of the intruder and on the distance, which is traveled by him/her between the intersections of the detection zone with the road; memorizing the CO of both levels of useful signals during the entire duration of the alarm modes; application of the algorithm for determining the direction of the intruder's movement relative to the CO: according to the value of the ratio of the level of the useful signal, which arrived first, to the level of the useful signal, which was received as the second, more than one or less than one; in the transmission of the CO to the system for collecting and processing information on signals concerning the detection of the intruder and the direction of his/her movement: the intruder moves toward the CO or the intruder moves away from the CO.

EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining the possibility of determining the direction of motion of the detected intruder using only one detector.
