SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of ferromagnetic powder of nickel oxide, which is used in microelectronics, including in magnetic data storages. Method involves thermal decomposition of nickel oxalate for not more than 30 with exposure to microwave radiation with frequency of 2.45 GHz, with power density equal to 8 kW/cm2, in pulse mode. Duration of pulses is not more than 3 mcs, and their repetition frequency is 400 Hz.

EFFECT: reduced time of exposure of microwave field to sample, increased dispersion of particles of obtained product, as well as increased output of reaction of synthesized ferromagnetic powder.
