FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metalworking and can be used to replace cutting inserts (900) on tool (800). Device (1) comprises positioner (50) having holding element (59) adapted to hold body (810) of said tool, screwing station with screwdriver (60), gripping device (70), conveyor (500) having insert (900) containers (510), along which first station (100) having gripping device (70), second station (200) having mechanism (20) for rotating inserts (900), third station (300) having mechanism (30) for unloading inserts (900), and fourth station (400) having mechanism (40) for supplying inserts (900) are distributed. In addition, device includes transport mechanism (80) and control centre (600).
EFFECT: use of the invention allows for more reliable and fast automatic insert replacement, including continuous replacement of a large number of inserts of the same cutting tool.
