Mass sensor for measuring the mass of particles in an aerosol composition contains a sensitive element, a detector for detecting the mass of particles deposited on the sensitive element, and a controller for controlling the detector during the measurement cycle for performing the measurement operation, and the particles are deposited on the sensitive element during the measurement cycle, and the service life of the sensor depends on the total mass deposited during the set of successive measurement cycles, the controller is configured to set the duration of the measurement cycle in such a way that during a measurement cycle a predetermined change in mass caused by the deposited particles is provided. Air treatment device and the method for measuring the mass of particles in the aerosol using this mass sensor are also described.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to accurately predict the service life of the sensor.
