SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopedics and traumatology, and can be used when performing total knee joint arthroplasty. In the middle of the lateral surface of the medial and lateral femoral condyles 8.0–10.0 mm above the articular surface saw-line and to a depth of 10.0–15.0 mm and into the anterolateral and anteromedial surfaces of the tibia 8.0–10.0 mm below the articular surface saw-line and to a depth of 10.0–15.0 mm bone needles are inserted. Using an electro-aspirator, the needles in the spongy bone build a negative pressure of 80–120 mm Hg through the needles in the spongy substance to stop bleeding. Then the surface of the saw-line is washed from the blood and dried, after which bone cement is applied, the needles are removed after its polymerization.

EFFECT: method allows to minimize the intensity of bleeding from the surface of the saw-line of the condyles of the bones and improves the penetration of bone cement into the spongy bone, as a result of which the effect of fixation of the endoprosthesis components increases.
