FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: method allows continuous automatic quality control of the process of shot-blasting hardening of the surface of solid-rolled wheels directly within the production line in the production rhythm (in a cycle not exceeding the time of shot blasting of the next product), without the organization of a separate stand (table) for visual control of the completeness of the density of the disk surface coating in accordance with GOST 10791-2011 through the use of software and hardware complex equipment. Device includes the following main components: equipment of wheel rotation with wheel rotation drive, support frame with upper guides and technological insert; equipment of a dust removal system with a vortex fan, air ducts, filters, air knives, umbrellas for dust removal and installations of light-dust protection units for video cameras and light sources; module of the machine vision system as part of the support frames, brackets, the system of surface illumination sources – blocks of shadowless LED luminaires and protected blocks for installing linear video cameras; control system of equipment in the installation control cabinet and automated workplace (AWP) of the controller of the device for processing and analyzing video images.

EFFECT: improving the quality and simplifying the process of shot-blasting hardening of the parts of solid-rolled wheels.
