SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurology, and can be used in treating the patients with chronic ischemic cerebrovascular diseases. That is ensured by a course of hirudotherapy of 10–12 leech fixation procedures. In addition, one procedure of fixing 2–6 leeches on projections of liver, spleen and paraanal and one additional procedure of fixing 4–5 leeches on zone around navel is carried out. Each procedure of fixing leeches is accompanied with a session of Ericsson hypnosis. At the first session, the doctor establishes rapport with the patient, performs semantic analysis of speech, search for key words, assessment of representative systems. Starting from the second procedure of fixing leeches, each session of hypnosis is planned in advance taking into account features of the patient's personality. At the end of each session, the patient is offered a homework in the form of post-hypnotic suggestion – to draw an image, which came during the session, to conduct a session of self-hypnosis.

EFFECT: method provides achieving stable remission in the given group of patients with prolonged remission, especially in patients with non-severe forms of depression, due to reduced risk of thrombosis with simultaneous reduction of depression and anxiety level, manifestation of pain and vestibular syndromes and dissomnic disorders.
