FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: power supply system includes two batteries with different charging and discharge characteristics and is installed on a vehicle. Power supply system has a lead-acid battery connected to electrical load; lithium-ion rechargeable battery connected in parallel with the lead-acid rechargeable battery with respect to the electrical load; electric generator configured to charge the lead-acid battery and lithium-ion battery; and a control unit configured to operate the electric generator based on the relationship between the discharge current of the lead-acid battery and the discharge current of the lithium-ion battery.
EFFECT: technical result consists in effective use of the charge level of a lithium-ion battery, increasing the service life of a lead-acid battery.
