FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of measurement and relates to submersible probe devices for measuring temperature and sampling metallurgical melts, particularly liquid steel and steel-smelting slag. Disclosed is a submersible probe for measuring temperature and sampling a metal and slag melt in a converter, comprising a replaceable unit in form of a composite hollow casing of heat-resistant material, in which there are serially installed two ceramic refractory bodies – the first, containing a thermal converter and a sampling chamber, and the second one containing only a thermal converter. Both housings are closed by individual metal cap, at that, second ceramic housing is arranged in additional hollow casing, on outer side of which there is a groove. Main hollow casing with first ceramic casing is partially inserted into additional hollow casing, and the groove on the outside of the additional casing is annular and arranged at the level of the first metal cap. On the outer side of the hollow casing there is an additional element for sampling slag melt, made in form of fixed on both sides of special protective semi-rings of the spring and located at a distance from said annular groove, 2–15 times greater than distance from said groove to initial part of the probe.
EFFECT: creation of a new probe equipped with two measuring heads with thermal converters and elements, permitting to produce simultaneous sample of metal and slag melt in the second measurement.
