FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for processing the refractory part of the spent lining of aluminum electrolysis cells. Method comprises grinding the lining in an aqueous medium, leaching, separating the liquid and solid pulp phases, treating the solution to release the fluoride product, the pulp is treated with a solution of sludge water at a temperature of not more than 60 °C for 2–4 hours, the pulp after leaching is directed to thickening, filtering and drying to obtain chamotte concentrate.
EFFECT: provides recycling of fluorine-containing waste with a high percentage of fluoride extraction.
