Water-swellable nitrile-butadiene rubber-based elastomeric composition includes the sulfur curing agent, altax and captax curing accelerators, zinc oxide and stearin curing activators, glycerin dispersing agent, BS-120 colloidal silica filler and sodium carboxymethylcellulose and the Ultrarez DS acrylamide-based cationic-anionic polymer resin water-swelling reagents, with the following ratio of components, pts.wt: rubber BNKS-28 rubber – 100.0; BS-120 – 40.0; zinc oxide – 5.0; stearin – 1.0; glycerin – 2.0; sulfur – 2.0; altaks – 1.0; captax – 1.0; the Ultrarez DS acrylamide-based cationic-anionic polymer resin – 5.0-25.0; sodium carboxymethylcellulose – 25.0–70.0.

EFFECT: increase in the elastomeric material aqueous solution of sodium salt, fresh water and the Polyeconol-Flora drilling system swelling degree in 22 %.
